Sam has taught widely in several UK schools of architecture, starting in 2002-05 at Cambridge University as a Visiting Lecturer in the first year studio. Since 2014 he has been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Kent, and from 2010-2016 was a Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University teaching design primarily in the post-graduate design studio.
Alongside teaching, Sam has a significant portfolio of research, and was Returned to the Research Excellence Framework in 2014.
Sam has also run workshops and attended reviews in the UK at the Bartlett, the Architectural Association, Sheffield, UCA and East London and further afield in Switzerland, Germany and Colombia. He's also given lectures on our work at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Architecture Foundation, the RIBA, the Institute of Contemporary Art and Siobhan Davies Studios for Theatrum Mundi.
Sam's education:
Following an undergraduate degree at Trinity College, Cambridge (1993-96), he completed a Diploma in Architecture at the University of Cambridge in 2000 with Distinction and nomination for the Royal Institute of British Architects Silver Medal for top international student.
