CAFE ROYAL

London, 2017-19

The Hotel Cafe Royal is in the freehold ownership of The Crown Estate. The Café Royal is Grade II listed and lies within the Regent Street Conservation Area designated in 1973.

Since the major restoration and refurbishment of the Hotel Café Royal; completed in 2012, the hotel has recently gained consent for some internal changes to the ground floor of the Hotel to re-model the entrance sequence and to re-locate the reception desk in the Ten Room with direct access from Air Street. As part of these changes the Alrov Group have appointed Lissoni to prepare designs for a new lobby to the Café and a new Entrance Canopy to the original Regent Street façade adjacent. Studio Sam Causer Ltd were appointed as Historic Buildings Consultant to the client to take the design concept forward from submission of a pre-application consultation through to construction and completion.
